Light of my life
fire of my loins
My sin, my soul

Today’s outfit was inspired and created for a fashion competition on one of the Polish style community sites called Stylio. The main idea behind this contest was to create film inspired outfits and because Lolita is one of my favourite both literary and film characters I knew that it will be my entry. The book is a real masterpiece, and I've already read it a couple of times, and the 1997 movie conveys quite a lot of book’s charm onto the screen. Although the heart shaped sunglasses are associated with Kubrick’s version of Lolita more I used them to create the Lyne’s version film inspiration.

She haunts the roads,
she waits for a new face

I don't have many clothes with me at the moment as I'm in the process of moving house, but luckily I've managed to put an outfit together you haven't seen on the blog before;) It's the second appearance of my denim-like shirt/body, which I think looks great with the delicate pastel colour of the skirt. The nude shoes on the other hand were originally bought for a wedding party I'm going to in August, but I guess they look good with black tights too!
As for my recent life musically I can't stop listening to Deftones! They're like my second favourite band after Placebo now and I'm more and more obessed with their music♥ Yesterday on the other hand was a Dir En Grey day;)

A Place to Hide

Lace and florals are my two favorites when it comes to clothes for a while now and that's almost everything that I use in my outfits recently. I've lately bought this lace dress as it was on sale;I was waiting for its price to be reduced for a couple of weeks before I've had a chance to do it. Oh, and I’ve also bought it in pale pink, which looks even prettier! I just need to find some kind of a slip for underneath the dress as it’s only lace;) This was actually supposed to be a different outfit post but the weather and circumstances didn’t allow me to get that other outfit photographed, so I had to use these photos taken on my recent charity shop spree;)

And I'll be your anchor you'll never leave
Shores that cure

It's only recently that I got convinced to the denim shirt look. For now it's the only denim item, except for shorts, I accept in an outfit. As I started to like them, I have found a shirt and body in one that had that denim look I wanted, but is made of nice silky material. Being a body shirt it's fantastic with all kinds of skirts and trousers as it stays in one place and doesn't go out;) The colour also is ideal and looks great with blacks and browns.
As for the bulding behind me it's McManus Art Gallery & Museum in Dundee and it's been renovated for the past 4 years (basically since I came here) so I didn't have a chance to use it as a background for my photos or to see its exhibitions, but I'll soon catch up on that as I'm really curious of the contents of this beautiful building!
